Leonie's Wool Workshop.....

We have had a very busy time recently at Quilters Harvest. Springtime has certainly encouraged our ladies to get busy with their new projects. After our Saturday Stitching Retreat we arranged for Leonie Bateman to stay and conduct a wool applique class.  It was very popular & the ladies loved working with the beautiful woven felted wool. Leonie shared her technique & tips for working with wool. We have the wool in stock, as well as many patterns. Call into to see this exciting new product.

Spring Stitching Weeeknd

It felt more like Summer as the ladies arrived for our Annual Stitching weekend.  Leonie of Leonie Bateman Designs, Shelly Kelly & Marg Low were our talented tutors this year. They had designed a very diverse range of projects for the ladies to try on the day. Goodie bags were full of exciting things, including 3 complete kits & 8 patterns to chose from for their day of stitching. The hardest thing was to decide which project to try first. We had ladies from Brisbane, Horsham, Mildura, Stawell, Ballarat & many places in between. Many enjoyed meeting up with other stitching friends they have made over the years. The day was filled with lots of chatter, laughter,  stitching & some shopping. We love organising this weekend & seeing the ladies enjoying their day.

Winterworkshop.....

What a great time the ladies had last weekend at the Winter Workshops. Our talented tutors  Zoe & Gail expertly took the ladies through the techniques of template piecing & needle turn applique. It was a very cold weekend so, perfect weather for sitting & sewing. This year we chose the local Neighborhood House facility as our location, which proved to be perfect. Keep posted to see the progress of some of the projects.

Stitching in Spring Update....

Yes, I know I am very late with this post, but better late than never. Our stitching weekend was a great success with talented tutors, Gail Pan, Helen Stubbings & Jennifer Knol. Our ladies arrived to the see the Community Centre decorated with large pink & aqua paper flowers, matching goodie bags & an amazing display of samples by the tutors. Not sure how Helen got all hers in her luggage from Tassie. Ladies tried a variety of skills from wool applique to backstitch & tiny hexogans. Thanks Gail, Helen & Jennifer bringing your expertise to us. Thanks also to the ladies who came & made our weekend such a success.
