Kaniva Workshop...
April 03, 2011
We went up to Hopetoun to join the Kaniva girls who were having a camp out at the beautiful Hopetoun Lake. On the banks of the lake the local committee have developed a series of accommodation places & camping area. The accommodation is simple, but comfortable & aptly named. The girls slept in the silos. Yes, that is exactly what they look like. Silly me did not think to take a photo. When we arrived they all began their small projects which we had kitted up for them & were ready to pose with their finished projects by the end of the day. Thanks to Gail Pan for designing these small projects, which are just perfect for an afternoon activity.
Thanks to Shirl and Del for coming to Hopetoun and sharing their love of stitching. the little bags and pouches by Gail were a hit. we had a couple of beginners in the group and they loved it! as did the rest of us. a great spot for a fun weekend of stitching, laughter and food!
