Pie & Tart Girls.....

Don't forget the "pie & tart" girls meet tonight, that's unless they would rather stay home to watch the Royal Wedding. This is always a good night. We start with a little wine & then we work on our paper piecing designs. Call in any time after work & join us for some fun.

Easter at Warracknabeal.....

What beautiful weather we had for the Easter Celebrations in Warracknabeal. Many people took the opportunity to visit our area, which is looking lovely & green after the wet summer. Shirley had a busy Saturday, while I was lucky enough to be able to have a few days away. The Newsletters & class lists have all been posted,so if you are interested, give us a call.

Oops!!!

My last post seems to have been mixed up when I sent it to facebook. Hopefully I have fixed the problem. Fingers crossed!!!

Minyip Girls visit.....

The girls from Minyip visited for the first time this year & bought with them their Block of the Month quilts. Each month they would come to the shop & start the next block of their quilt. It was a lot of fun & now all the beautiful "Cottages in Common" quilts have been lovingly quilted by Judy at Cornerstone Creations from Bordertown. Thanks girls for showing us your finished quilts.

Minyip Girls visit...

Today the girls from Minyip are coming to see us. They are bringing their completed Block of the Month project that they worked on during their monthly visits during 2009. We look forward to seeing them. Must remember the camera to share some photos with you all.

Girls in Stitches date.....

We are very excited to confirm that Kerry Gillespie, Leanne Beasley & Rosalie Quinlin will be our tutors for this year's  "Girls in Stitches" retreat. After a few challenges to find a date to suit everyone we are happy to let you all know that it will be on October 8th. Bookings are open now, so contact us if interested. Numbers will be limited & there is a possibility that we will have a second day on Sunday if there is enough interest. Call now & don't be disappointed.

Kaniva Workshop...

We went up to Hopetoun to join the Kaniva girls who were having a camp out at the beautiful Hopetoun Lake. On the banks of the lake the local committee have developed a series of accommodation places & camping area. The accommodation is simple, but comfortable & aptly named. The girls slept in the silos. Yes, that is exactly what they look like. Silly me did not think to take a photo. When we arrived they all began their small projects which we had kitted up for them & were ready to pose with their finished projects by the end of the day. Thanks to Gail  Pan for designing these small projects, which are just perfect for an afternoon activity.

Hopetoun tomorrow.....

We are off to Hopetoun tomorrow to join the girls from Kaniva. They are staying at the beautiful Lake Lascelles & enjoying a weekend of patchwork & relaxation. They asked us to organise a small project for them to do. Along came Mini projects by Gail Pan, which are just perfect.
