Kaniva Exhibition.....

Last weekend the Kaniva Windmill Quilters held their biannual exhibition. We, along with 3 other traders were invited to attend. Despite the very cold & showery day many ladies ventured out to see the magnificent display of quilts. Shirley did not come along so I tried very hard to make our display look interesting. Thank you to Melly of Melly & Me for a loan of her quilt, featuring her new range of fabric.

Melly's quilt is the one on the left. We have the full range of fabrics, patterns & kits for the quilt available.

This is just one of the beautiful quilts on display. Congratulations girls on an excellent exhibition.

Scrapbook Girls....

It's the Scrapbook girls turn to be spoiled by Quilters Harvest. They are having a sleepover at the beautiful Glenwillan Homestead. We organised for them to have a weekend of scrapbooking. I am looking after the grandies so that Belinda can enjoy a childfree weekend & host the weekend on our behalf. I know they will have a great time & I'm sure they will come home with some finished pages.

Retreat report.............

What a wonderful day we had. Our 3 delightful tutors were inspiring, the weather was perfect, the food scrumptious, an enthusiastic group of patchworkers & Collingwood won the AFL grandfinal replay. We hope all the girls enjoyed our 4th retreat as much as we did, & that those who travelled, arrived home safely. Natalie, Melly & Gail all worked so hard as they moved from table to table to pass on their knowledge, expertise & words of encouragement. No matter how long we have been enjoying our passion for patchwork we can always learn something & I'm sure yesterday was no exception.

Tutors 2
Melly, Natalie & Gail looking happy after a very busy day. Thanks girls for coming to the country. We really appreciate it.

Gail

Gail is sharing her applique technique. Gail was in demand all day showing the finer points of applique. Many girls benefited from her enthusiasm to share her knowledge. In fact I'm not sure that she stopped for lunch. Hope she didn't miss out on the beautiful frittata & the amazing lemon tart.

Natalie
Marge & Olinda from Hopetoun getting some help from Natalie. We were in awe of her beautiful stitching.

Melly
Melly too, does beautiful stitching so she was giving tips on satin stitch. We were also very lucky to see some of her new fabric range. In fact it was so popular we sold out. But don't be dismayed, they will be back in the store soon. Congratulations Melly.

Deb & Kath
Camera shy Deb from Shepparton & Kath from Seymour were busy stitching. We were amazed that girls had travelled from places as far away as Adelaide, Waikerie, Mildura & many other places.

Collingwood
Some of the girls came showing their football allegiance. I know these 2 girls went home very happy & so did I. Hope you all had a great time & we hope to start organising next years retreat soon.
