Off to the Quilter.........

Shirl has been busy stitching the beautiful Block of the Month by Leanne's House "Down in the Garden". Now it is off to the quilter. We have chosen the lovely fabrics from the Garden Party range. The quilt has a soft, subtle look with the highlight being the raspberry pink butterflies. If you would like to be part of the BOM, give us a call or Email us for more details. Numbers will be limited, so register for your BOM soon.

Fun Weekend.....

Shirl & I have had a great weekend with the girls at Cohuna. For several years they have been holding a weekend retreat & this year we decided to join them They had 4 very delightful & talented tutors... Robyn Falloon, Kerry Gillespie, Annette Blake & Lessa Siegele. Shirley chose to do Robyn's applique class, & I joined Lessa's class. We both had a great time & learned lots of new tips & techniques. Lessa's flying geese technique is a winner. I love it.

And a few of the girls who did scrappy quilts with Annette. Sorry about the quality of the photos, silly me had the camera on the wrong setting.

Sue & Noel
Of course one of the best things about these weekends is the friends we meet. I had a great time catching up with Sue & Noel whom I first met at Summer School in Camperdown many years ago. Now it is back to work for us all & I'm sure we will look forward to seeing lots of finished projects next year.

Glenwillan Sleepover......

Home again after our annual weekend at the beautiful Glenwillan homestead. This homestead is just 15 minutes out of town. Set up as a Bed & Breakfast it can sleep 13 people. Our group arrived on Saturday morning & after settling in & a welcome cup of tea, it was down to work. It was interesting to see all the different projects that the girls had chosen to work on.

Homestead
The homestead offers lots of inspiration to the eager quilter. Cornices, ceiling roses, stained glass windows & the magnificent tiled verander all gave us lots of ideas for another project.

Tiled Floor

Lots of laughter, food & wine & of course patchworking, made for a great weekend.

Sweat Shop
The grand dining room was the perfect place for our sewing machines. Thanks girls for helping us to enjoy a great weekend.
