Glenwillan Homestead weekend....

We have confirmed the date for our weekend stay at the beautiful Glenwillan Homestead. It will be on the 5th & 6th of June. Linda Niewand is available to do a class & if you are interested, we have the requirements & sample at the shop. Otherwise you are most welcome to come along & do whatever your heart desires. We always have a great weekend & it is a great chance to finish off some projects or just have some time out. As numbers are limited we will need to know of your interest as soon as possible.

Homespun Magazine

Homespun mag
Just received the latest issue of the Homespun magazine. We are very excited to be one of the Patchwork shops featured in the "On the Road" section. It shows a little section of our shop, a photo of the "12 Days of Christmas" block of the Month & a little story. We think it is a really good read. Almost like window shopping.

Mystery solved.....

Our group of girls who came to do the Mystery Jelly Roll class have gone home with the mystery solved. What a great day we had today with 11 girls sewing their jelly roll version of the hexagon. We hope they all arrived home safely after the big day out. It was amazing to see the vast range of choices in fabrics & how different they will all look when finished.

Shirley massage

While the girls stitched Shirl was kept busy with a shoulder & neck massage to ease the tension.

Sometimes there was some confusion. This way, that way, which way?????????

This is how it should finish look when it's finished. Look forward to seeing them all when finished.

Back to work....

We had a lovely weekend away, with perfect weather & beautiful autumn scenery. We enjoyed some retail therapy & found this beautiful garden cafe where we just had to have a cup of coffee.

Now it is back to work. We have a class at the weekend & still need to finish making the sample.  Looking forward to seeing the girls from Mildura, Stawell, Dimboola & locals who are joining us for the mystery Jelly Roll class.

Weekend away

It just happens to be both of our wedding anniversaries this week, so we have decided to give our dear hubies a weekend of our attention. We think they deserve it as we will be quite busy for the next few months with classes, weekend workshops & travel to exhibitions. We have not told them yet that there is a lovely Patchwork Shop at the town that we have decided to visit.

Horsham Exhibition

Back home again & all the stock is unpacked & back in the shop, after a busy weekend at the Horsham Exhibition. The girls should be very proud of themselves. It was an excellant display of work of very high standard & a great variety. We had a great time catching up with girls we do not see very often or only speak to on the phone. Below is a peek at our stall.

   Kaye Hoffman quilt

Kaye, just one of the very talented quilters, was having a bit of fun showing us how proud she was of one of her quilts on display.

 Vikki Jenkin quilt
This is the centre of Vikki Jenkin's prize winning quilt. Magnificent applique & machine quilting. Congratulations to the Horsham Patchwork Group for a great weekend.

Horsham Exhibition

The Horsham Patchwork Quilters Exhibition will be on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. The girls from Horsham always have a display of extremely high standard work, so if you are in the area it would be certainly worth a visit. We will be one of the traders there, so call in & see our new samples & stock. Good luck to the Horsham girls for a successful weekend.
