Mildura Craft Alive

What a great time we had in Mildura at Craft Alive. It was good to catch up with our Mildura customers and others who had traveled there for the Music Festival. But, it was so cold. Not like sunny Mildura weather at all. We were kept very busy all weekend as well as being entertained by a children's author/story teller & a children's percussion instrument stall opposite. There was never a quiet moment. However we enjoyed our time & a big thank-you to everyone who stopped by for a look at our stand & a chat.

Shirley at display

Shirley is here before all the customers began to arrive.

Warning......

We had a little mishap in the shop last week. A can of spray glue fell onto the floor & sprung a leak. Shirley picked it up & put her hand over the spray of glue to protect shop stock etc. In the process she received a very nasty burn to her fingers. Although it is a water based glue, the propellant has caused the burn. The photo shows the damage, after a week of healing.

Out & About at Irymple Craft Alive

On Thursday we are off to Irymple for Craft Alive. We have been very busy making samples, cutting kits & packaging fabric for the last few weeks.  Mildura is also hosting their Country Music Festival, so we expect it to be a very busy place. Take a break from the music & call out to the Irymple Leisure Centre on Friday 25th. Saturday or Sunday to see us.  Lots of new stock has arrived just in time. Come & check out the fantastic new books, just released by Gail Pan Designs, & Rosalie Quinlan. They have so many projects & are such great value.

Warracknabeal Patchwork Exhibition

W'Beal display

Our local Patchwork Club recently held their biannual exhibition. As usual, they had an amazing display. They have about 35 members who meet twice a month. They should be very proud of another successful exhibition. Here is just a small sample of their display

We had a display & stock for sale. Anne & Marlene are checking out the goodies.

Time to up date......

Sorry it has been some time since we updated our site. I have been a bit slack. Actually I have been enjoying the great outdoors. A group of us went to Cape York. What an amazing country we live in. We travelled 9,000kms, through 3 states in 3 weeks. It was a bit of a rush, but well worth the experience. Shirley was back at the shop working, working, working, while I was having a good time.

Here we are at the top of Australia, and this is one of the beautiful sunsets we saw.
