Then it was time to get to work. We showed them the samples Shirley had made of the animals by "Melly & Me". They thought they looked so cute, they decided to try some.

Memory Lane Retreat Update

We are busy making final arrangements for our retreat on October 4th. Our tutors, Di, Leanne, Gail & Kerry, have also been busy designing their projects and are very excited about them. We still have some vacancies, so call us soon to secure your booking. These days are very popular & it is a great opportunity to meet 4 talented designers at the same time.

Shopping at the Gift Fair

We have are still recovering from our weekend at the Gift Fair at Jeff's Shed in Melbourne. We spent 2 days walking up & down the rows & rows of traders who were tempting us with their wares. We are very excited about our new stock & look forward to seeing the boxes arrive to unpack & add to our shelves. We have also bought some gorgeous new shop fittings to give the shop a new look. Keep posted for a peek at our new stock.

Cardstock with an Edge

EyeletsHole_bazzill

This cardstock is ace.  What more can l say.  Just my thing, all the hard work is done for you.  They have punched the holes all around the edge of the 12" x 12" paper.  Comes in several colours and also comes with smaller holes.         You can use this card as your backing or you can put another piece behind it to bring that colour through the holes.

First_easter

I have used the 'hole scolloped cardstock' over the top of the blue cardstock so l get that colour through the holes.  I cut a chunk of the orange out cause it was a little too much.  I added some hand doodling with the white ink and a few other bits and it was that quick.

In the past l would have spent time, measuring and punching all the holes.  And with my skills they certainly wouldn't have been in line.!!

Flutterby

FlutterbyMonarch_2 Painted_lady_2

The pinks, reds and oranges of the Flutterby collection will make any girly page a beauty.  The pages are full of butterflies and swirls.  There is also a page full of tags and page borders, just what is needed for that finishing touch.. The collection includes paper names of Painted Lady, Monarch, Spring Azure and Long Wing.

Butterfly_layout

This layout came together very quickly.  When l saw my daughters hot pink top l knew just what papers to use.

To finish off the layout, the tag included within the range was just what l needed.

The swirl down the side was also part of the range.  I made it stand out a little more by going over the swirls with dimensional magic and then added some coloured rhinestones.

A Kaisercraft Flower rhinestone was then placed in the middle to connect the two photos together.

Stitchz Cardstock

Stitchz_flowers_limade  Stitchz_hears_french_vanilla                                This is a sample of the new 'Stitchz' range from Bazzill.

The sheets come in 12' x 12' with a design down the side.  The design is made up of holes in the paper to form a flower, heart, star.

All the hard work is done for you here.

I have placed a coloured piece of card underneath so that the dots show up, but you can leave them open or do as l have done.

Little_miss_ella

With the 'Little Miss' layout I have used the Limeade 'Stitchz' flower cardstock.    I have backed it in red bazzill to make the flowers stand out.  In the middle of each flower l have a crystal and the middle flower has a rhinestone Blossom on top of it.  All tied in with some bling letters and red ink around the edges.

Skull Boi

This Range is full of attitude and funk.  Ideal for teenagers alike.

The range includes Hazard, War Zone, Kriss Kross and Lazy Bones.

Plenty here to please anyone wanting to do a layout with boy themes.  With symbols, stripes and patterns, in black, blues and burnt reds, male themed layouts will be a breeze.

It includes a Lace up Open Album, Hanging keepsake, Hanging Frame, Jigsaw Keepsakes and much more

The Hanging Keepsake, Floral Hanging Keepsake and the Hanging Frame make great wall hangings.

While the Lace up Open Album, Large Open Album, Lace up Journal and the Handbag make for great display pieces.

All of these projects are resonably priced.  How can you stop at just one project.

Cafe Culture

Cafe Culture

The Cafe Culture range screams 'Heritage' to me.  As soon as l saw this range l had many layouts in my mind.  All of them being of a heritage theme.  The range includes Cappuccino, Macchiato, Hazelnut and Latte.

Together_2

This 'Together' layout has been put together using the Macchiato and Latte papers from the Cafe Culture range.

The 'together' rub-on is from the original Kaisercraft rub-on range and the wood heart and heart/scroll flourishes are also part of the Kaisercraft range.  I did lightly paint the wood flourishes cream to match in with the papers.

The whole layout has been backed with Bazzill Brown as with the matting of the photos.
